Saving Faces – Research Opportunities Day – July 2011
Ian MacKenzie is Professor of Stem Cell Science at the Blizzard Institute, part of Queen Mary University of London. His research interests are the cellular mechanisms involved in the maintenance of skin and oral mucosa; stem cells; tissue renewal; and cancer. This talk was given on the 8th of July 2011 as part of a research opportunities day organised by Saving Faces. The aim of the day was to make specialist doctors in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery aware of current research under-way in their field and highlight ways in which they could become involved.
