Santa Run 2015

♫♪♫ ‘Tis the season to be jogging, fa la la la la…. ♪♫♪

A very special thank you to our Running Santas, who took part in a 5K and 10K fun run around Victoria Park on a windy December morning.

Santa Run

Congratulations to Helen and Danielle Grimes, Marco Beghi, Sandy Dillon and Ray Majors. Our Rockin’ Santa, Ray, even strapped a guitar to his back, stopping along the way to entertain the other runners with some tunes. You can still sponsor them below.

Sponsor a Santa

Well done to everyone, there’s still donations trickling in and the online pages will be available for a few more weeks.

Sarah and SantaThe 6th of December will be my five year anniversary of working for Saving Faces, and what better way to celebrate than a huffing and puffing around 10K of Victoria Park dressed a Santa (heaven help me!). Any support (financial or emotional) will be greatly appreciated!

MarcoI’ve gone and entered my self in the 2015 10K Santa Run! All the proceeds go to charity, so its pretty much a no brainer. Your donations will help carry out ground breaking research in the treatment of facial diseases such as oral cancer and many other facial injuries not to mention aiding studies focusing on the psychological factors affecting head and neck cancer patients.

helen grimesPlease sponsor me now!
Many of you won’t know a year ago I had surgery for cancer. I have entered a mini 5k Santa Run on 6th December (probably walk in my case). The charity I have chosen is Saving Faces (The Facial Surgery Research Foundation).

doitforcharity runRay and his wife Sandy are late but welcome additions to our running team. Ray is a professional musician who has played with Mott the Hoople, The Yardbirds and other iconic British bands. He released an album early last year, The 7% Solution inspired by his experiences of dealing with throat cancer. Sandy, also an accomplished musician, provided backing vocals and keyboards.
