Cycle Day 2012

Well, that’s it done and dusted for another year…

There was a tense run-up to the 3rd annual Saving Faces Family Cycle Challenge, with wind, rain and thunder forecast. By some miracle, the day dawned bright and cloudless and the first drops of rain only fell as we were packing up to go.

About 80 cyclists took to the track, once again raising money for the new National Facial and Oral Research Study Centre.

In between laps we had face-painting and arts and crafts for the kids, a bouncy castle for the kids at heart and music from Andy Bad Robinson (whose version of that well known Frank Sinatra classic “Cycle me to the Moon” was inspired).

We would like to say a big thank you to all our cyclists, supporters and volunteers, who have made the day such a success.
