Sarah Furnell running the Edinburgh Half Marathon

Sarah Furnell was a long-standing researcher at Saving Faces for 7 years having worked on multiple research projects, a major national audit, sang along at 8 Christmas Carol concerts and represented Saving Faces at dozens of conferences. Even now as she embarks on her new adventure, she continues to support Saving Faces.

On Sunday 27th May 2018, Sarah completed the Edinburgh Half Marathon in 1 hour and 28 minutes and raised over £400 for Saving Faces.

Sarah says: “Saving Faces will always have a special place in my heart. It is the only charity dedicated to research into facial disorders including oral cancer, which has affected my family too. I lost my wonderful, warm, lovely grandmother to oral cancer in 2007. I may be moving on to pastures new but I will be following Saving Faces’ exploits closely, and want only to see it grow from strength to strength.”
