Kat Huggins will be running her first marathon to raise money for Saving Faces on 26th May 2019.
Saving Faces is a charity very close to Kat’s heart. Kat’s mother in law Maryann sadly passed away from a complication after surgery for mouth cancer in 2015. Chief Executive Professor Iain Hutchison was Maryann’s consultant.
Facial cancer is not just the devastation of the disease itself, but the psychological and emotional aftermath, which is just as hard to deal with. If Maryann was with us today she would be running this with me, but she will be there in spirit. – Kat

Kat completed the marathon in an incredible time of just over 4 hours despite the torrential downpours and 40 mph full head winds!
