In this article, Prof Hutchison speaks about the important role that NFORC must play in helping those with facial disfigurement. Part of NFORC's mission is to collect information on the psychological impact of facial disorders. We believe that research is the key to developing strategies and safeguards to protect the emotional wellbeing of people with facial disfigurement. To date much of our research in this area has focused on cancer and trauma patients.
